Angie was born and raised in Waynesboro and Fairfield, PA. She was a multi-sport athlete in high school, including field hockey, volleyball, soccer and track. After graduating high school, she attended West Virginia University and Florida State University where she received BS and MS degrees in civil engineering. While finishing up at Florida State, she married her best friend, Adam, also a graduate of WVU. Together, they began their careers in Clearwater, Florida before God began expanding their family. In 2005, they moved back to Adam’s hometown area in Allegany County, Maryland where they had three beautiful children, Will, Norah and Samuel. While raising their family, they both worked for Allegany County Government since 2006 and invested their love and energy in serving their community in various ways through youth sports, their church, a family childhood cancer foundation, and FCA. Angie served as Board Chair for Allegany County FCA since 2018. During this time she was also able to see her husband’s approach to coaching changed through FCA, along with her kids becoming impacted through FCA huddles and camps. In early 2020, God whispered to Angie to “pay attention” when an opportunity to come on staff with FCA opened. After praying about it for many weeks, God used a mission trip in Costa Rica to change Angie’s heart and give her the courage to sacrifice her career to follow his calling. Angie is excited to bring Jesus to the community by meeting coaches and athletes where they are. She is passionate about giving more students an opportunity to live and share their faith through the student led FCA huddles in schools. One of Angie’s favorite bible verses, Joshua 1:9, inspires her to do the Lord’s work regardless of fear: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
