The race's name (Narrow Way) has dual meaning. The race course follows the GAP (Great Allegheny Passage) Trail through a steep sided valley west of Cumberland called 'The Narrows'. Narrow Way also references the path to eternal life.
"Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

RACE BENEFIT/Purpose
All proceeds from the Narrow Way races benefit attendees to local and regional FCA Camps through scholarships.
2023 Narrow Way Success
The 2023 Narrow Way took place on November 11th at the Canal Place in Cumberland, Maryland.
We had a total of 157 runners of all ages, 47 local businesses were sponsors of the event, and 13 business partners donated door prizes.
Through the support of our community, Allegany FCA sent 51 student athletes to FCA camps in 2023 on scholarships. This includes local and regional, sports ministry and leadership camps. Together we are empowering our youth to be game changers.
